Privacy at Anchor

Anchor is built to keep detailed focus activity on your device. The website collects information you choose to submit, such as your email when you join the waitlist, and uses security checks to prevent spam.

Your focus data stays on your device

Anchor stores your app categories, focus-session state, timing, settings, and detailed focus history locally on your device.

Core focus sessions do not require an Anchor account or a cloud connection.

Anchor knows the app, not what you are doing inside it

Anchor uses application identity to understand whether the app you are using is Deep Work, Working, or a Distraction.

Anchor does not read your screen, documents, or the content inside your apps. It does not use window titles as the primary way to identify an application, and private window-title content is not stored by default.
