Our approach to privacy

Your screen stays private

Anchor never sees what you’re viewing, writing, reading, or doing inside an app.

You control what friends see

Choose whether friends can see when you’re focusing or how much you’ve focused. They never see your apps.

Your data stays under your control

Detailed focus history stays local by default. Account data is protected and can be deleted.

I built Anchor because normal focus timers could tell me how much time had passed, but not how long I actually focused.

I always forgot to pause and resume timers whenever I got distracted, walked away, or picked up my phone. So I never knew how long I actually worked for.

I wanted something that could understand how I move between apps, notice my distractions, and help me get back to work.

Anchor is my attempt at making staying focused feel simpler, calmer, and more natural. I hope it helps you focus a little better, and that you enjoy using it :)
